Northeast India is nestled in the easternmost part of India. It comprises of seven beautiful states- Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Assam. The North-eastern region shares an international border with several neighbouring countries- Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Tibet Autonomous region and China. States of North East India are officially recognized under the North-eastern Council.
